De onderlegger van Zilco is, afhankelijk van de maat, geschikt voor gebruik onder schoft- of borststuk ter bescherming van de tuigdelen en voor comfort van het paard.
De polyfill vulling neemt geen vocht op, waardoor de pad snel droogt. Met de klittenband sluitingen is de onderlegger eenvoudig op maat aan te brengen of te verwijderen voor reiniging.
